Chris Malam

Chris has lived and worked his whole life in Stratford-on-Avon, the town where Shakespeare was born. He worked for The Royal Shakespeare Company for eight years after leaving school as a set decorator, brushing shoulders with the likes of Ben Kingsley, Malcom McDowell, Ian Holm, Judie Dench, Diana Rigg, Helen Mirren, etc, etc. Chris first took an interest in photography when he was about eight years old and went to his first scrambles meeting at Hawkstone, in 1968. He started riding in 1971 on a '68 250 Husky and has competed in trials, mx, enduro and the Weston-Super-Mare beach race. His current bike is a Honda 1979 CR250RZ which he bought brand new in April 1980. Chris’ other interests include involvement with a few local bands (promoter, roadie, photographer), snow skiing and scuba diving. Chris remains heavily involved with the twin-shock scene in the UK.
